Ticketing and finance
Sell tickets yourself, and see where every dollar goes.
A box office for runs, passes, sliding scale and reserved seats. Buyers pay through Stripe straight into your own account, our fee is printed up front, and after the show the numbers add up.
From the on-sale to the payout
Work out the deal before you sell a ticket
Start with the money as it really is: the artist's guarantee, the split, and what the night costs the house. Then build the tickets around it.
Sell single nights, passes for a whole run, and pay-what-you-can tickets. Passes draw on the same seats as the single nights, so a weekend pass and a Friday ticket can't both sell the last seat. A pass covers the nights it names, so the door admits it on each of them.
We take no platform fee on pay-what-you-can tickets. Stripe's card processing still applies.

Sell on your own website, and know exactly what it costs
Buyers check out on your website instead of being sent to a ticketing site that advertises other people's shows. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never store card numbers.
Our platform fee
- The first 100 tickets of an event: 1%
- 101 to 1,000 tickets: 2%
- Over 1,000 tickets: 3%
The rate is set by how many tickets the event had sold when the order was placed, and it is never applied backwards. Stripe's card processing (2.9% + $0.30) is charged on top.
Sales tax
Sales tax on ticket orders is calculated, collected and remitted by Venue Family through Stripe Tax. We are the marketplace facilitator, so the tax is filed under our registrations and taken out of the payout, and there is nothing for you to remit on those sales. You choose whether your prices include tax or have it added at checkout.

Refund what needs refunding, then settle up
A refund is rarely the whole order. Someone was ill on the Saturday of a weekend pass, or one person in a group of six dropped out. Refund the whole order, one night of it, or one ticket: refunding Saturday from Maya Lin's $45 pass returns $22.50, and her Friday ticket still scans at the door.
After the show, the settlement works out the artist's share from what really sold, after the house costs and the split you agreed. Once you finalize it, it can't be edited; settling again makes a new version, and the old one stays on record.
The technical detail — how records are sealed, how calendar feeds stay in step, how refunds avoid double-charging — is in the developer documentation. Read how it works
