From an inquiry to a confirmed booking
A venue is a building full of spaces
A community arts building might hold a main hall, rehearsal studios, a courtyard and a gallery. In Venue Family the venue holds its spaces: discounts, packages, insurance requirements and payment settings are set once for the venue, and every space uses them unless you give it its own.
Each space can have rates by time of day, a different rate at weekends, and a day rate. A booking from 4 PM to 10 PM is charged one hour at the afternoon rate and five at the evening rate, and if the hours would cost more than the day rate, the renter pays the day rate.

Discounts that add up the same way every time
Quotes go wrong when discounts collide at the counter. Here the rules are plain: of the discounts a booking qualifies for automatically, only the best one applies; a discount the renter claims, such as a non-profit rate, goes on top of it; and each discount says what it applies to, such as the room hire and packages but not the cleaning fee.
Packages bundle equipment or staff at a set price, and an hourly package can have a minimum number of hours.

Signed, insured, paid, and on the calendar
A quote is only worth something once it becomes a confirmed, paid booking, without chasing paperwork through four email threads. The renter signs the agreement on screen and pays the deposit, which goes straight into your Stripe account, and the room is held on your calendar. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never store card numbers.
You set the liability coverage a renter must carry. The renter uploads their own certificate of insurance, and we show your staff whether it meets the minimum. Venue Family sells no insurance and binds no policy. Renters bring their own certificate from any insurer, and your staff decide whether it meets what you require.
